Colourful, full of rich tones and intricate patterns is the best way to describe Karina Jambrak's hand-drawn illustrations. Inspired by nature and tropical coastlines Karina's work is truly unique.
I first came across Karina about 12 months ago, on Instagram, as you do these days, and reached out to her to see if she would be keen to have some of her prints on Cranmore Home & Co. At this time Karina was still working part-time and illustrating in her spare time. Only a few months later she took the plunge to do her artwork 100% of the time and hasn't looked back. Working from a leafy studio on Sydney's beautiful coastline, Karina has inspiration all around her. Not only does she do amazing illustrations but she is also a mum of two little ones, so life is always full of fun. I finally got to meet Karina in person at the beginning of this year at a trade fair in Sydney and she is just as fun as her colourful prints, although she probably thought I was a goose as I couldn't even get an Instagram pic right so we had to boomerang for it to look any good! I could blame the champagne I had that afternoon, but I think I need to face it that I am just awful at photos! Fun times though and it was super special to finally meet her!
Karina started off at Sydney's famous Bondi Beach markets in 2001 (at the young age of 17) selling her artwork straight out of school. Karina then went and graduated from the University of NSW, College of Fine Arts and has since pursued a design career in many industries. Her unique approach to art and design-led her to work with some amazing and iconic brands such as Mambo, Westpac, Tigerlily, Nakula Coconut Products, Kawaiian Lion & most recently, The Jungalow.
Karina now brings happiness to people through art and her gorgeous illustrations. They are printed with archival inks (Giclée) on thick, textured 310gsm cotton rag.
A popular trio at Cranmore Home and Co is the Palm Tree prints below. Many of our customers purchase these gorgeous prints as a set of 3. They are also very sophisticated when framed in a wooden frame, they can even look quite "hamptonesk"!
Her earthy tones within her illustrations lends itself to many interior styles. We have seen her prints styled in many Coastal, Boho, Shabby Chic and Minimalist (Palm Tree Series) interiors. To see how beautiful they look, just follow Karina on Instagram, you won't be disappointed.
I also have many customers loving her animal collection for their nurseries and kids room. Here are three of our favourites.
So if you are looking for something a little different, designed and hand-drawn and from an Australian creative, you must check out our collection of Karina Jambrak prints HERE. You won't be disappointed. Thanks, Karina for being part of our collection, we love what you do.
