Coastal Style Living

The Coastal Style of Living

I dream of owning a beach house one day (OK so it might be more like a beach shack), whether it be in the tropics of Noosa, Qld or the Margaret River region here in WA, I've put together an inspiration board of products I would love to have in my tropical beach abode.

My top pick of brand for this style is Uniqwa Furniture they just do coastal living perfectly.  Uniqwa’s ethos revolves around using recycled and plantation woods in their furniture range to create unique and contemporary designs. Uniqwa’s distinctive and inspiring pieces are a stunning addition to any room. Hence why I have added them to this board. The whites and timbers used are classic and timeless and each piece really is unique.  For the full collection you can check out their website here.

I do however also think you need to add a touch of colour to any coastal style, even if it is a subtle pastel.  I have included a pink in this board, through the addition of artwork and homewares that have a pastel pink colour undertone, including a possible side table locker by Mustard Made.  A locker may not seem coastal, but this colour blush definitely is!

Lighting can really set the mood and our HK Living wicker round natural pendants continue to be popular and I have one in my current house which I adore.  The Lili tall pendant by Uniqwa has also been very popular with clients from coastal areas.

Now, for my coastal abode, I must have a comfy sofa, typically one that I call a "cuddle couch"  - high back, super cosy, wide enough for two people to snuggle comfortably in and watch netflix together (so that you aren't at separate ends as there is no room.) So look no further than the Vittoria Slip Cover sofa by Globewest! It comes in several sizes and they also have a matching arm chair! The colour options also provide an array of colours that would suit any coastal colour palette.

As I keep dreaming, I do hope that this coastal style living inspo board has provided you with some ideas for your own home.  Enjoy, Jayne x.
